Training and Experience
Andrew completed his medical degree at the University of Adelaide and went on to undertake anaesthesia training in South Australia, gaining broad experience in a wide range of surgical specialties. He was awarded the Renton Prize in 2019, presented to the ANZCA trainee who achieves the highest marks in the primary fellowship examination.
Andrew then completed his Fellowship year at Alfred Health in Melbourne, before joining Anaesthetic Services in 2023. He now works as a Fractional Anaesthesiologist at The Alfred alongside his private practice, where he holds visiting rights at all major Victorian private hospitals. His regular private lists span colorectal and robotic surgery, obstetrics, neurosurgery, plastics and reconstructive surgery, and orthopaedics. Andrew also participates in the after-hours general and obstetric on-call rosters at Epworth Richmond, Epworth Freemasons, St Vincent’s Private and Cabrini hospitals.
Andrew is actively involved in quality and safety improvement at both The Alfred and in his private hospital work. He also enjoys teaching, contributing to ANZCA exam preparation for anaesthetic trainees at Alfred Health.
